Letter From the Editors

Throughout history, the beauty and fashion industries have capitalized on one type, one image, and shoved all women into that “box” of conformity. Diversity has not been a consideration of the masses and the lack thereof has created generations of low self-esteem and shattering confidence. Raising awareness on this issue is important because all women everywhere should feel represented by a beauty industry that prides itself on diversity and individuality. Our mission is to encourage women to embrace their own standards, and to promote a new line of thinking that recognizes the marginalized women that don't feel they fit into conventional beauty expectations and/or want to believe that there’s more to them than what they believe their body or image should be. We believe that all colors, shapes, and sizes should be appreciated for their own uniqueness as women are a powerful, important necessity to our society that deserve equality and respect.
